On a northbound road trip up the California coast in 2009, The Beekeepers were born. Inspired by animated conversation with two Australian hitchikers about the extinction of bees and the importance of folk music, Olivia and Elena decided to put a name to their honey sweet harmonies and acoustic guitar plucking.
